How to care for the newly bought snow grass

1. How to deal with the newly bought Sedum spatholobi

1. Bare roots without soil: Bare-root succulents purchased online should be planted in moist soil first, placed in a well-ventilated place with diffused light, watered after a week, and when the succulents show obvious growth trends, moved to the south balcony to get more sun.

2. Finished seedlings with pots: The finished succulents bought at the flower market can be moved directly to the balcony to bask in the sun, and then decide how to maintain them according to the season and environment when you purchased the succulents.

2. How to care for the newly bought snow grass

1. Light: Sphenantheraea aquatica likes light. Adequate light can accelerate the growth of succulents and make them grow well. In spring and autumn, it is best to grow it outdoors and expose it to the sun all day if conditions permit. In the hot summer, it should be properly shaded at noon, but not for too long.

2. Temperature: The most suitable growth temperature for Spheniscus serrata is 10-33℃. The succulent will stop growing if the temperature is lower than 10℃. Strictly control water and ensure that the minimum temperature is not lower than 5℃, so that the succulent can safely overwinter.

3. Watering: For domesticated Sedum schefflera, water it thoroughly during the peak growing season in spring and autumn when the soil in the pot is almost dry. In summer, ensure the maintenance environment is ventilated and water in the morning and evening. Control watering in winter, pour some water along the edge of the pot at noon, and keep the soil in the pot dry at other times.

4. Pruning: The biggest feature of Sedum vulgare is that it grows fast and can easily overflow the pot. Therefore, when the succulent grows too densely, you can shave it and cut it heavily to allow the succulent to grow again.

5. Reproduction: Prepare moist soil for the pruned part, insert the stems into the moist soil, and place it in a well-lit and ventilated place. After the succulents have taken root and survived, if you take normal care of them, you can grow a large pot in 2-3 months.
