How to care for the newly bought purple moon

1. How to deal with the newly bought Purple Moon

1. Bare roots without soil: When purchasing bare-root succulents without soil online, we need to prepare potting soil and then plant Purple Moon with moist soil. Place it in a well-ventilated place with scattered light, water it after a week, and increase the light to full sunlight after the leaves of the Purple Moon Plant become bulging.

2. Purchase with pots and soil: Succulent plants with pots purchased at flower markets or flower shops can be directly moved to a bright place to bask in the sun. During the peak growing seasons in spring and autumn, water the plant as soon as the soil is almost dry. In winter, when the temperature is low, stop watering to help it survive the winter safely.

2. How to raise the newly bought purple moon

1. Light: Purple Moon Plant likes light. When there is sufficient light, the leaves of Purple Moon Plant will turn purple and be in excellent condition. If there is insufficient light, the stems and leaves of the Purple Moon will become elongated, and the leaves will be thin and not full. However, the Purple Moon should be moved to a semi-shaded place in summer.

2. Temperature: The most suitable growth temperature for domestic purple moon is 15-28℃. If the temperature is lower than 15℃, the growth rate of purple moon will slow down. The lowest temperature it can withstand is 3℃. If the temperature drops below 3℃, stop watering and cut off water to help it survive the winter safely.

3. Watering: When the temperature is low, water less or even stop watering, which is conducive to the safe wintering of succulents. Spring and autumn are the peak growth seasons for Purple Moon, so water them when the soil is almost dry. In summer, as long as the environment is semi-shaded and well ventilated, watering can be carried out as usual.

4. Reproduction: The growth rate of Purple Moon is very fast. You can cut the stems and leaves of the plant in late autumn, put them in a semi-shaded place to dry for half a day, and then lay the stems and leaves flat on the moist soil surface, keep the soil slightly moist, and maintain it with diffuse light. It will grow out of the pot in one month.
