How long is the growth period of Amomum villosum

Introduction to the growth of Amomum villosum

Amomum villosum prefers a humid growing environment and is suitable for planting in areas with an annual precipitation of more than 1000 mm. The yield is highest in areas with a precipitation of 1400 mm. It is distributed in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi and Yunnan in my country, and is cultivated or grows wild in shady and humid places in the mountains.

Amomum villosum growth cycle

Amomum villosum grows well in warm and humid tropical and subtropical climates. It can tolerate short-term low temperatures, requires appropriate shade, prefers scattered light, and is planted in deep, loose loam with strong water and fertilizer retention capabilities.

Growth rate of Amomum villosum

Amomum villosum grows relatively fast, and its seeds must be grown into seedlings before sowing. Generally, it takes three days for the seeds to absorb sufficient water. May is the most appropriate time to set the value. If the weather is cold, the seedlings need to be covered with weeds to keep them warm.

Management of Amomum villosum growth cycle

The yield per mu of Amomum villosum can reach about 500-800 kilograms. It is a perennial herb and a common ginger ingredient. It blooms in May and June and bears fruit in August and September.

Temperature management : Amomum villosum is a plant that likes warmth. It grows better in an environment of 22-28℃. In winter, the temperature is required to be kept above 12℃, so it is recommended to keep it indoors in winter.

Fertilization management : Combine land preparation before planting and apply well-rotted manure or compost. Newly planted plants should be fertilized 2-3 times a year. The first time is during the seedling stage, and the second time is in August. It needs to be combined with an appropriate amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer to provide it with sufficient nutrients.
