1. Climate characteristics of Ulanqab

Ulanqab has a typical mid-temperate semi-arid continental monsoon climate. The spring is dry and windy; the summer is short, hot and humid with concentrated rainfall; the autumn is extremely humid with early frost; and the winter is cold with little snow. The annual precipitation is between 150-450 mm, with more precipitation in the south than in the north and more precipitation in the east than in the west.
