1. Control the temperature

Its origin is in tropical regions. It prefers warm environments and has poor cold resistance. The temperature is low in winter, so be sure to move plants indoors as soon as possible after the temperature drops. Otherwise, they will get frostbite outdoors and will not be able to survive the winter. The temperature also needs to be controlled, and it is best to maintain it at around 10 degrees. Please note that the minimum temperature should be maintained above 5 degrees. If the temperature is lower than this, it is easy to get frostbite and cause frost damage.

2. Reduce water volume

The temperature is low in winter and water evaporates slowly. From the perspective of plant growth, the slower the growth rate, the less water is needed. Therefore, water must be controlled. If the soil is not dry, there is no need to water it. It is best to poke the soil with a wooden stick before watering. If there is still moisture, do not water it yet. When watering, pay attention to the water temperature, which should be close to the soil temperature to avoid unnecessary damage.

3. Adequate lighting

It likes light itself, and the light in winter is also very mild. It should be placed on a bright windowsill indoors, and allowed to get more sunlight. It can be given full sunlight. In such an environment, it will accumulate a lot of nutrients, which is beneficial for its wintering and growth next year.

4. Stop Fertilizer Treatment

It is tolerant to barrenness, grows slowly in winter, and consumes less nutrients, so fertilization should be stopped at this time. Even if fertilizer is applied, it is difficult for the plants to absorb it. Leaving it in the potting soil will easily damage the roots, hinder growth, and cause various fertilizer damage phenomena.
