Tips for growing lucky bamboo in water, how long does it take for it to take root?

1. Water culture skills

1. Bevel cutting of cuttings: When growing in water, the rooting part should be cut at an angle of about 45 degrees. This will increase the cut surface, and it will absorb water better after being placed in water, making it easier to take root, and the growth in the later stage will naturally be more vigorous.

2. No leaves at the base: When growing in water, there should be no leaves at the base of the plant. The branches and stems must be cleaned. Otherwise, the leaves soaked in water for a long time or the branches and stems are not clean, which will pollute the water quality. The plant will then be easily infected with diseases, affecting rooting and growth.

3. Add nutrient solution: There are not enough nutrients in the water, so if you want vigorous growth, you need to add nutrient solution. During the growing season, add water every other week, in small amounts multiple times. In winter, when the growth slows down, the frequency should be reduced. Under normal circumstances, it is enough to add 10 drops to 500 ml of water. Excessive amount will burn the plant and cause damage.

4. Change water regularly: Change water frequently before rooting to ensure water quality. However, after rooting, the frequency of water changes should be reduced and water should not be changed frequently, otherwise the roots will be easily damaged, and the root system needs to adapt to the new environment, which will hinder growth. In addition, the amount of water should not be too much, just 1/3 of the container will be enough.

2. How long does it take to take root?

Under normal circumstances, lucky bamboo grown in water can take root in about half a month. The root system is white, with well-developed roots, which will soon grow longer and thicker. As long as you pay attention to maintenance methods and provide it with an environment conducive to growth, it will grow vigorously. Not only does it have high ornamental value, it also has beautiful meaning and is very suitable for keeping at home.
