The flower language and legend of Pulsatilla

The legend of the white-headed bird

In the ancient Qin Dynasty, there was a farmer named Wang Shang. One day, I accidentally ate a bowl of rotten rice, but I didn’t think it was abnormal. After a while, I had abdominal pain and dysentery. There was no doctor in Wang Shang's village at that time, so he covered his aching stomach and asked for help everywhere. Before he knew it, he had walked out of the village. At this time, the abdominal pain became more and more severe. Finally, Wang Shang couldn't bear the abdominal pain and fell to the ground.

Just when he was worrying that he could no longer walk, a white-haired old man came from a distance and helped Wang Shang up. Wang Shang, with a pale face, described his condition to the white-haired old man. After listening to this, the old man pointed to the fuzzy wild grass next to him and said that such grass could cure his disease. After that, the old man left.

Wang Shang half-believed and half-doubtedly picked some fuzzy wild grass and put it in his mouth. After a while, his illness was almost cured. So he happily picked a lot of them, took them home and made medicine. Five days later, Wang Shang's illness was completely cured. The next year, people in his village suffered from dysentery and everyone was miserable. At this time, Wang Shang remembered the fuzzy wild grass. So, he went outside the village to collect a lot of herbs and boiled them into medicine for the villagers to drink.

Later, in order to express their gratitude to the white-haired old man, the villagers named this wild grass "White-headed Old Man Flower", also known as White Head or Old Man Flower.
