Arisaema is the tuber of Arisaema, Arisaema heterophyllum or Arisaema mandarin, plants of the Araceae family. It is a traditional Chinese medicinal material with a long history and is mainly distributed in Henan, Hebei, Sichuan and other regions of China. So what is the cultivation technique of Arisaema? What is the yield per mu ? Let’s learn more about it below. Yield per mu of Arisaema The economic value of Arisaema is very high, and both its rhizomes and seeds can be sold for money. According to surveys, the output value of Arisaema is about 50,000 yuan per mu, and the net profit can reach 40,000 yuan, making it a popular commodity among farmers. Planting technology of Arisaema 1. Site selection and land preparation Choose moist, loose, fertile sandy loam or black loam for growing araceae . Before freezing, plow the soil 25 cm deep to make it weathered and loose. After the thaw in the following spring, apply 5,000 kg of fertilizer and 50 kg of superphosphate per mu, plow shallowly and harrow finely, and level the land into 90-150 cm wide flat beds in preparation for sowing. 2. Breeding method Arisaema can be propagated by seeds or tubers. For seed propagation, you need to choose mature Arisaema seeds , dry them in the sun, and then sow them while they are still wet. For tuber propagation, the large tubers should be harvested in autumn and processed into medicine, while the small tubers should be kept for seeds. 3. Planting tips Choose spring, April to early May for transplanting. Choose a cloudy day and transplant the healthy seedlings into the field with a row spacing of 20 cm to 15 cm. Water once after planting to help them survive. 4. Field management After planting, pay attention to keeping the soil moist, water less frequently, loosen the soil in time, and maintain moisture conditions. Pay attention to drainage during the rainy season to prevent flooding. In late July, when the seedlings are 15-20 cm tall, it is the peak growth season. Generally, about 500 kg of human manure is applied per 666.7 square meters. In late August, apply 15 kg of ammonium sulfate or about 50 kg of cake fertilizer per 666.7 square meters. Each Arisaema plant produces many seeds. Except for the individual plants that are intended to be kept for seeds, the remaining inflorescences should be picked off to concentrate the nutrients in the tubers. 5. Harvest at the right time Arisaema is usually harvested in time around October. The tubers are peeled and washed, smoked with sulfur for about 8 hours, and dried until white. When selecting seeds, you can choose intact and strong tubers and store them in a ventilated place. In general, the planting benefits of Arisaema are still very good, but in the actual planting process, there are many influencing factors. In order to obtain better returns, mastering scientific planting techniques is one of the necessary conditions.
