How long does it take for a fortune tree seedling to grow? How many hours of sunlight does the seedling need?

1. How long does it take to grow up?

The growth rate of the money tree seedlings is not very fast, and it usually takes about 2 years to grow up. If you want to make its main stem grow thicker, it can usually only grow 2-3cm a year. If the maintenance method is not appropriate, it may not grow much in a year. It is a very easy-to-care-for tree species. As long as it is given enough light, the temperature is adjusted properly and water is replenished in time, its growth will be obvious.

2. Maintenance and management

1. Water: It likes a moderately humid growing environment. The correct way to water it is to wait until the soil in the pot becomes dry. The humidity needs to be maintained at around 50%-75%. When caring for it in a dry climate, you should spray water on the ground and leaves frequently to increase the humidity.

2. Temperature: Before the money tree seedlings sprout, the maintenance temperature should be controlled at around 25-38℃. After sprouting, it should be controlled at around 25-30℃. The temperature should not be too high during maintenance, as long-term high temperature will hinder its growth.

3. Ventilation: Ventilation is required every day during the maintenance process. It cannot be allowed to grow in a closed place for a long time, which will affect its breathing and thus its growth will be restricted, so make sure there is enough air circulation.

3. How many hours of sunlight are needed

The young money tree seedlings need more sunlight to grow. Generally, they do not need shading in spring and winter and can be placed in the sun all day. But in the summer, you need to pay more attention. When the sunlight becomes strong, you need to provide shade. Generally, about 50% shade is enough, or you can shorten the time exposed to light.
