Pearl bush sowing method

Pearl bush sowing method

Seed treatment

Seed collection and processing: Seed collection is carried out in September and October every year. The capsules are first placed in a ventilated and cool room, in a dry place, gently rubbed to remove the seed shell and impurities, and placed in a paper bag for storage.

Soil preparation

When preparing the land and making beds, choose a flat, well-drained plot of land as the nursery ground. You can also use a greenhouse to raise seedlings. The soil in the nursery ground should be loose and have good fertility. Raise seedlings in low beds, deep plowing, remove debris and weeds, use phoxim for insect control, and carbendazim for soil disinfection. Provide adequate water before sowing.

sowing

The seeds of pearl bush are relatively small, so the watering method is used for sowing. The soil should be moist and not sticky during sowing. The ground should be raked and leveled, and the seeds should be mixed with soil and sown. After sowing, cover with fine soil, preferably forest humus soil. Use a spray bottle to sprinkle water randomly to ensure that the seeds and soil are closely combined.

Seedling management

Seedling management: After sowing, cover the ground with a shade net and water it 1-2 times a day. Seedlings will emerge in 3-5 days for open-field seedlings and 2-4 days for greenhouse seedlings. The soil must be kept moist during the seedling stage. After the seedlings have emerged, gradually reduce the shading time and increase the sunshine time.
