What kind of soil do roses need to grow and how to disinfect the soil

1. What kind of soil is needed for planting

It likes slightly acidic soil, and must ensure looseness, fertility, drainage and air permeability. Only when these aspects are met can it grow vigorously. You can prepare the nutrient soil yourself when planting, and there are many ways to prepare it. You can mix leaf mold, garden soil, and river sand, and then add an appropriate amount of cake fertilizer to provide it with nutrients. You can also mix leaf mold, perlite and river sand to meet your soil requirements.

2. How to disinfect

1. Sun exposure disinfection: The soil must be disinfected before planting. If the temperature is relatively high, the prepared soil can be exposed to the sun to kill the eggs and germs in the soil, making it less susceptible to pests and diseases in the later stages.

2. Disinfection with chemicals: If the light is not strong and you are in a hurry to use the soil, you can use some common chemicals to help disinfect. For example, you can dilute an appropriate amount of potassium permanganate and spray the solution directly on the soil surface. Be sure to dry the plants in the sun for a few days, otherwise the residue of the medicine will damage the plants.

3. Notes

The soil must be acidic. When watering, you should regularly add an appropriate amount of ferrous sulfate or vinegar to the water to maintain the acidity. Otherwise, the alkalinity will increase over time, causing various growth problems and hindering growth and flowering.
