For cleft grafting, choose a mature tree and use 1-3 year old strong branches as scion, and cut the bottom into a wedge shape. For grafting, choose 2-3 year old branches and cut the bottom into a bevel. The bark splice is similar to the cut splice, but the bevel is longer. Bud grafting requires cutting the selected buds into a shield shape. 4. GraftingAfter preparing the rootstock and scion, you can proceed with grafting. Insert the bottom of the scion into the cut of the rootstock, wrap it tightly with plastic film to prevent water and air from outside from entering, so as to avoid wound infection.
