Saffron seeds and cultivation methods, saffron planting time

1. Seed Planting

1. Seed selection and germination: Saffron can be planted and cultivated by sowing. Before planting, the seeds should be prepared first. Note that seeds with full size have a higher survival rate. In order to promote seed germination, after selecting the seeds, they need to be germinated and soaked in warm water for a period of time. Then they can be taken out and placed in a warm place. Wait for the seeds to germinate and then they can be sown.

2. Select soil for planting: Prepare soil suitable for germination. It should be breathable, loose, and contain nutrients. It needs to be disinfected and sterilized after preparation. After preparing the soil, sow the seeds and cover them with a thin layer of soil about 3 cm.

2. Cultivation and care

After planting, careful cultivation and care are needed to promote seed germination. Watering thoroughly after planting can promote seed germination as soon as possible. During subsequent maintenance, the soil must be kept moist and sprayed and watered regularly. After the seedlings have grown stably, they can be exposed to light normally and given sufficient sunlight. They also need to be fertilized regularly to provide the nutrients needed for growth. In winter, they must take measures to keep warm and avoid frostbite.

3. Planting time

The planting time is March-April in spring, or September-October in autumn. Both time periods are acceptable. The best time is autumn, and the specific time can be adjusted according to the local climate.
