1. How to grow tuberose

Temperature: Tuberose is produced in subtropical or warm temperate regions and has poor cold resistance. Therefore, when the weather starts to get cold in mid-to-late October, it needs to be moved into a warm indoor room or greenhouse, and the temperature cannot be lower than eight degrees. If the temperature drops below five degrees, its leaves will slowly turn yellow and then the whole plant will die.

Light: Tuberose prefers a sunny environment. Generally, from May to October, you can keep it on a sunny balcony. In midsummer, just make sure to shield it from the scorching sun. In other months, the plant's demand for sunlight is relatively much lower.

Watering: The growing season of tuberose is in summer. During this period, the soil in the pot needs to be kept moist and the frequency of watering should be increased appropriately, but be careful not to let water accumulate in the soil.

Fertilization: The flowering period of tuberose is between May and October, during which time it is important to ensure sufficient nutrient supply. Before April, liquid fertilizer can be applied every ten to fifteen days, and after late April, liquid fertilizer can be applied once every half a month.

Soil: When planting tuberose, you should choose loose, fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Before planting, you can fill some broken bricks at the bottom of the flowerpot to facilitate drainage.

Repotting: In order to maintain suitable soil conditions, it is necessary to change the soil and pot according to the growth of the plant. Repotting can be done in early April. When repotting, most of the old soil needs to be removed and some old roots need to be cut off, and then new culture soil should be replaced and replanted. After repotting, the plant needs to be pruned to promote the sprouting of new branches, and pay attention to keeping the soil in the pot moist.
