Can aloe leaves survive by being planted? How to plant aloe

1. Can it be inserted alive?

The leaves grown by aloe vera can survive by cuttings, but the chance of survival is not very high, because its leaves contain a lot of water. There is a certain risk in using leaf cuttings for such leaves. It is very likely that they will rot before taking root. However, as long as the method and time are chosen correctly, they can also survive.

2. How to plant

1. Leaf selection: Strong leaves are also the key to survival, so try to choose stronger leaves. The more active the leaves are, the higher the survival rate will naturally be. It is strictly forbidden to choose wilted or old leaves.

2. Cutting: After selecting the leaves, use a clean and sterilized knife to cut them diagonally at the bottom to facilitate cuttings. If the blade is not clean, it is easy to be infected with bacteria and cause death.

3. Processing: The cut leaves cannot be directly used for cuttings. You need to wait for the wounds to dry naturally. Generally, they need to be placed in a cool place for about a week.

4. Soil selection: Aloe vera likes to grow in loose soil. When preparing the soil for it, it is best to add 30% to 40% sand, which will have better drainage performance.

5. Cutting: The soil humidity should not be too high during cutting, because the leaves themselves have sufficient water. As long as the soil is not dry, just insert the leaves into the soil one-third of their length.
