Give the flowers some "artificial respiration", the leaves will be as green as emerald, and the roots will not rot for 20 years!

Put walnut shells at the bottom of the pot, and the leaves will grow lush and green!

After eating the walnut kernels, Huahua never throws away the walnut shells and keeps them as treasures. It is a good natural material for padding the bottom of a pot. It is highly breathable and water-draining, allowing the flower roots to breathe smoothly and grow thick and strong. Why would you still worry about the flowers not growing well?

1. Collect walnut shells

Collect the walnut shells and flower lovers can use a hammer to smash the walnut shells into pieces as big as the one shown in the picture below.

2. Place a screen net at the bottom of the basin

First place a screen over the drainage hole to prevent soil from leaking out and to prevent insects from crawling into the soil.

3. Spread the walnut shells on the bottom of the basin

Spread the crushed walnut shells on the bottom of the basin, about 5 cm thick. If the walnut shells are mostly complete semicircles, you don't have to break them. To prevent water from accumulating in the shells, just place them with the mouth facing down at the bottom of the basin.

4. Spread the soil

Then spread loose and fertile soil, such as a mixture of pine needle soil and sand, on top of the walnut shells until the flowerpot is full.

5. Plant flowers in pots

Walnut shells are relatively hard and not easy to rot. They can improve the water permeability and air permeability of the soil for a long time. They are very suitable for planting flowers such as green ivy and Clivia. Flower lovers no longer have to worry about the roots of their flowers rotting!

Broken bricks and tiles are used to pad the bottom of the pot, and the roots are so strong that they can burst the pot!

There are many gaps on broken bricks and tiles, but don’t underestimate their water permeability and air permeability. Spread the broken bricks and tiles on the bottom of the pot to let the flower roots breathe fresh air, and you never have to worry about suffocating the flower roots!

1. Pick up broken bricks and tiles

Broken bricks and tiles are common in garbage dumps or construction sites. Flower lovers can pick up some, but be careful not to scratch your hands.

2. Break the broken bricks and tiles

For large pieces of bricks and tiles, flower lovers can use a hammer to break them up. There is no need to smash them too small, just break them into small pieces the size of a thumb.

3. Wash the broken bricks and tiles and soak them in carbendazim solution

First, rinse the dirt and stains off the broken bricks and tiles with clean water, then put them in a solution of carbendazim and soak them for 1-2 hours. This is to kill the germs and prevent the flowers from getting sick.

4. Dry the broken bricks and tiles

After soaking for 1-2 hours, take out the broken bricks and tiles and lay them flat on a clean ground to dry, preferably in a ventilated and sunny place.

5. Use broken bricks and tiles to pad the bottom of the pot, then cover it with soil

First, place an old stocking in the drainage hole, and then place the dried broken bricks and tiles on the old stocking, making it 3-5 cm thick. Sprinkle a layer of coarse gravel to fill the gaps between the tiles, and finally cover them with soil!

6. Plant flowers

Using broken bricks and tiles to pad the bottom of the pot is very suitable for growing flowers with larger plants and well-developed root systems, such as the lucky tree and the money tree, which will make the root system grow more and more vigorously and the leaves become as green as jade! ,

Use egg shells to pad the bottom of the pot, and the leaves will be dense, green and airtight!

Eggs are really very common, and egg shells are a great treasure for growing flowers. How can a flower grower throw them away? Placing it at the bottom of the pot will not only allow excess water to flow out quickly and prevent root rot, but will also slowly release elements such as nitrogen and phosphorus, making the flowers and leaves glow green and dazzling!

1. Wash the eggshells

Rinse the eggshells with clean water to wash away the egg liquid remaining on the inner wall to prevent insects from attracting them over time.

2. Dry and crush the eggshells

Spread the washed eggshells flat, place them in a ventilated and sunny place, dry them and then crush them. Don't crush them too finely.

3. Place egg shells at the bottom of the basin

First, find a piece of non-woven fabric, such as the white non-woven bag that comes with new shoes, and place it in the drainage hole of the flower pot. Then spread the dried eggshells on the bottom of the basin, with a thickness of 4-6 cm.

4. Spread loose and breathable nutrient soil

Spread loose and breathable soil, such as a mixture of leaf mold and sand, on the eggshells and fill the flowerpot.

5. Plant flowers

Flower lovers can plant flowers now, whether it is Christmas cactus or spider plant, the flowers are guaranteed to grow wildly and there is absolutely no need to worry about yellowing leaves or rotten roots!

Insert a straw into the pot, and the roots will immediately breathe smoothly!

The temperature in some flower lovers' cities is still relatively low, so they cannot change pots yet. However, the soil is becoming hardened, and water cannot seep down. The flowers are turning yellow and the leaves are becoming soft. What can they do? All you need is a straw to get the job done. Let the flower roots breathe fresh air instantly and feel refreshed immediately!

1. Prepare a few thick straws and coarse river sand

Flower lovers should prepare a few straws, not too thin, try to find thick ones, and also find some river sand with larger particles.

2. Poke a hole in the side of the basin and insert a straw

First, insert one of the straws into the soil at the edge of the pot and into the bottom of the pot. Then pull it out of the hole and insert it in another place. Do this in 4-6 places in total. Finally, insert the remaining straws into the holes.

3. Pour coarse sand into the hole through the straw

Pour coarse sand into the pot through the straw. Stop when it is almost as high as the soil in the pot. Pull out the straw and the coarse sand will remain in the soil, forming sand pillars.

4. Pour water on the sand column, and the flowers will immediately become energetic.

Pour water on the sand column, so that the water can slowly penetrate into the soil through the sand column, and also improve the air permeability of the potting soil, allowing the flower roots to breathe fresh air immediately, allowing the flowers to slowly recover and become green and upright again!
