How to cut branches of Lily Lili

How to cut branches of Lily Lili

1. Time Selection

The succulent lily Lili is also known as lily lily. In addition to leaf cuttings, it can also be cut by branches, and the survival rate is also very high. The time chosen is the growing season, that is, spring and autumn. The climate in these two seasons is relatively mild, which is suitable for cuttings to survive. The growth and germination ability is also strong, which is conducive to later growth and development.

2. Cutting cuttings

Lily Lili has many side buds and can be propagated by branch cuttings. Choose a well-growing plant and cut off the side buds from the side of the plant. Do not use them directly for cuttings, otherwise they will cause rot. You need to put them aside to dry for a while until the cut position is slightly dry.

3. Preparation of matrix

During the drying process of the cuttings, the substrate can be prepared. The substrate is required to be breathable and no water can accumulate. Therefore, vermiculite, perlite, river sand, etc. can be used. They cannot be used directly for cuttings and must be disinfected and sterilized first.

4. Take cuttings

After preparation, spray water into it appropriately, and then insert the cuttings into the sand, the depth is about 3-5 cm, no need to insert it too deep.

5. Post-maintenance

After the cuttings are completed, place them in a cool and ventilated place, give them soft light, and they will take root after a period of time.
