How to grow mugwort well

How to grow mugwort well

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: It can withstand both high and low temperatures. It can be planted in general areas as long as it is not an extremely cold area. The breeding temperature needs to be kept between 15 and 25 degrees. If the temperature is too low, warming measures need to be taken. If the temperature is too high, it needs to be sprayed with water to cool it down.

2. Watering: There is no fixed time for watering it. Watering is only needed when the soil is completely dry. The amount of watering should not be too much. Just water the soil until it is completely moist. Watering can be done by spraying. The advantage of this watering method is that the water droplets are evenly distributed, which is conducive to plant absorption.

3. Fertilization: Before planting the seedlings, base fertilizer needs to be mixed into the soil. When the seedlings grow to about 30 cm, top dressing is needed. The fertilizer should be special fertilizer for mugwort, but it can also be replaced with farmyard manure.

4. Light: Growing mugwort requires sufficient light. It has a relatively high demand for light. It will only grow well when there is sufficient light. The daily light intake cannot be less than 6 hours, except for the need for shade at noon in summer. Normal lighting can be used at other times.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: It is generally propagated by sowing, and the time for reproduction should be after the beginning of spring. Many people do not choose the right sowing time, which will lead to low plant yields. After the beginning of spring, the climate is stable and the temperature is suitable for its growth and development, so it should be chosen after the beginning of spring. When sowing, keep the spacing between 40 to 50 centimeters. After sowing the seeds, add a layer of soil and then water them sufficiently.

2. Pruning: It generally does not require heavy pruning. It only needs pruning when yellow leaves or insect infestation appear. When pruning, cut off the problematic leaves and disinfect the incision.

3. Problem Diagnosis

1. Pests: It has relatively few pests. The ones you need to pay attention to are aphids and black rot. After the symptoms appear, you need to spray it with carbendazim or insecticide.

2. Root rot: Its roots are not resistant to waterlogging. If the soil is too moist and water accumulates, it will easily lead to root rot. At this time, you need to dig it out, remove and disinfect the rotten parts, and then replant it.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: It is non-toxic. Not only is it non-toxic, it can also be used as a medicine.

2. Edibility: It is edible. In addition to being a medicinal product, it can also be used directly in cooking, and it has the effect of warming and nourishing the body.
