Okra cultivation time and technology

1. Cultivation time

There is little time limit for okra cultivation, and the period of time available is very long, ranging from April to July. Due to different climatic conditions in different regions, there are differences in the planting and cultivation time. Generally, the southern region can be planted around April, while the northern region can be postponed to around May because of the relatively cold climate.

2. Cultivation Technology

1. Choose seeds: If you are planting outdoors, there are not many restrictions on the varieties. If you want to plant indoors, you need to choose a variety with shorter plants. The pentagon variety is very suitable.

2. Soak in warm water: Because okra seeds are relatively hard and not easy to grow seedlings, they need to be soaked in advance. You can prepare warm water and soak the seeds in it. After the shell becomes soft after a whole night, it will be easier to germinate.

3. Soil selection: The soil for cultivation must be breathable and nutritious. Garden soil can be mixed with sand and organic fertilizer.

4. Seeding and cultivation: You can adopt the direct seeding method to sow the seeds, cover the seeds with about 2 cm of soil, and they will germinate after 7-10 days. Pay attention to maintenance during the seedling period.
