1. Grafting methodWintersweet grafting is usually done in spring. Choose a sturdy scion and cut off its top, keeping the length at 7-8cm. After selecting the rootstock, cut it down when it is 5-6cm from the ground. The length should be about 4-5cm. Then insert the scion into the cut of the rootstock, align it and tie it up. When using soil to seal the cut position, cover the top of the scion. The soil should be kept moist and it will survive in about a month. 2. Seeding methodThe seeds are harvested in the summer and stored in wet sand and sown in the spring of the following year. Before sowing, wash the seeds and remove the wax, then sow them in the soil at a distance. 3. Division methodYou can divide the plants in spring by digging them out of the soil and using a sharp knife to split the stems. Three stems should be retained on each plant so that it is easier to survive after division. Prepare the potting soil, plant the divided plants in it and water them sparingly. |
