Transplanting methods and precautions for osmanthus

Transplanting time

When transplanting osmanthus, time is very critical. First of all, from the perspective of growth habits, the best season for transplanting osmanthus is spring and autumn. Secondly, from an economic point of view, the best time to transplant osmanthus is autumn, when the price of osmanthus trees will be relatively cheap.

However, the specific time for transplanting osmanthus still depends on the grower's own arrangements, as long as the purpose of transplanting can be achieved.

Transplanting method

When transplanting osmanthus, you can decide how to transplant it according to the height of the osmanthus. If the height of the osmanthus seedlings is less than 1 meter, they are usually dug into beds that are 20 meters long and about 1 meter wide for transplanting. Generally, when transplanting, the plant spacing should be kept at 30cm. If the height of the osmanthus sapling is more than 1 meter, you can dig a ditch for planting. The size can be determined according to the shape of the plant. It is best to dig a drainage ditch.

Precautions

First of all, it is best not to transplant osmanthus in summer, because it is difficult for it to survive in high temperature and drought. If you want to transplant it at this time, you must set up a shade shed or spray water every day.

The second thing is to choose a location for transplanting the seedlings. You need to choose well-growing, strong seedlings without diseases and insect pests.

Finally, when transplanting, bring some soil to the roots and make sure to fix them when planting. The hole must not be too small or too deep. It is best to pick off the leaves of the osmanthus and then water it thoroughly.
