How to prepare soil for Jade Dew

1. Soil preparation requirements

The climate in the south and the north is quite different, so there are also certain differences when preparing the soil for Jade Dew. The climate in the southern region is more humid, so when preparing the soil, you must ensure that it is breathable and not too sticky, which will affect the breathing of the plant roots. The climate in the northern region is relatively dry, so try to use soil with good water retention.

2. Soil preparation method

If it is in a semi-open environment, you can mix Akadama, perlite, peat soil, chlorite and phytosanitary in a ratio of 2:2:1:1:1, and vermiculite and charcoal soil can be added in small amounts. If it is in an open environment, you can add more vermiculite and charcoal to increase water retention.

A simple way to prepare the soil is to mix river sand, nutrient soil and a portion of organic fertilizer. If possible, you can add a little crushed eggshell.

3. Notes

When preparing the soil, be sure to disinfect the soil, because some soils may contain bacteria. If used directly without disinfection, it will harm the roots of the plants.
