Why doesn't Clivia like to grow

Why doesn't Clivia like to grow

1. No repotting

If the Clivia does not grow well during its cultivation, you can recall whether it has not been repotted for a long time. On the one hand, if the pot is not changed, there will be no space for growth, and on the other hand, the soil is prone to become compacted. It is best to repot it once a year to ensure that it has enough space to grow and to make the soil more breathable.

2. No Sunlight

It needs a little sunlight during its growth period. If it is kept in a place where it cannot see sunlight, the growth of the plant will become very slow. Try to choose a place with mild sunlight for maintenance, as long as it is not exposed to direct sunlight that is too strong.

3. Nutritional deficiencies

Any plant needs nutrient support to grow. If it is not supplemented with fertilizer in time, it will not only not grow well, but also show a series of adverse symptoms such as yellow leaves. During its growing season, it should be fertilized once every half a month. Cake fertilizer water or rice water can be used to promote the rapid growth of the plant.

4. Root damage

If the root system of the plant is damaged when potting, it will grow poorly after potting. It is best to remove the roots as soon as possible, inspect them and cut off any unhealthy roots. If not treated, the roots will slowly rot, not only will the plant not grow but it will also cause the entire plant to die.
