How to grow mountain pine

How to grow mountain pine

1. Breeding environment

(1) Soil: It is very important to choose soil when first planting. It is best to choose soil that contains more nutrients. Furthermore, the drainage is better as the plants are afraid of waterlogging.

(2) Fertilization: Mainly used in late spring, early summer and autumn. You can use cake fertilizer water once a month. If the growth is poor or the mountain pine is very large, apply more appropriately. It is more suitable to apply in the afternoon. Water once after application.

(3) Light: It is a full-sun plant and requires sufficient light. However, it should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

(4) Water: Keep the soil dry and water appropriately. Water the soil after it is dry, and do not allow water to accumulate.

(5) Temperature: Warm, around 20 degrees.

(6) Ventilation: Pay attention to regular ventilation.

2. Repotting

Generally, it only needs to be replaced every three to four years. If the growth is good, it can be done once every five years. Do it in early spring or late autumn, prune the roots first, then change the soil. Pay attention to the newly replaced soil, and also pay attention to nutrition and drainage. The pot can be changed or not, depending on the size of the plant. If the pot is not big enough, use a larger one; if it is still the right size, you do not need to change it for now. In addition to changing the pot, you can also repot from time to time.

3. Pest and disease control

Diseases such as leaf blight can be prevented and controlled with drugs such as carbendazim. There are many kinds of insect pests, such as "longhorn beetle" and "pine aphid", which can be treated with omethoate.

4. Regular pruning

Normally, pay attention to promptly prune off those branches that are too dense, dry, or infested with diseases and insects.
