How to grow succulents to be short and fat

How to grow succulents to be short and fat

1. Adequate sunlight

When growing succulents, place them in a place with diffused light and get plenty of sunlight. The leaves will become fuller and fatter if they are exposed to sunlight for sufficient time. If it is not exposed to sunlight for a long time, it will easily grow too tall, affecting its appearance. But be careful to avoid strong sunlight in time to avoid sunburn.

2. Reasonable watering

Succulent plants are generally drought-resistant and do not need to be watered too frequently during cultivation. If it is too humid or there is water accumulation, it will affect its growth, causing excessive growth or root rot, which is not conducive to growth. Usually water more often during the spring and autumn growing season, once every half a month. Water should be controlled in both summer and winter, as growth is slow at this time.

3. Apply fertilizer appropriately

If you want it to grow fatter, you need to apply fertilizer in moderation and supplement nutrients. You can apply fertilizer frequently during the growing season, once every half a month, and use a dilute liquid fertilizer to avoid root burn. In addition, pay attention to stop applying fertilizer in time during the high and low temperatures in winter and summer to avoid fertilizer damage.

4. Suitable temperature

During the maintenance period, it is best to maintain the temperature between 15 and 28 degrees. If the environment is suitable, the plant will naturally grow stronger. When the temperature is high in summer and the climate is cold in winter, the plant grows slowly or even stops growing. At this time, you should pay attention to temperature control and try to shorten the dormancy period.
