How and when to plant peony

1. Planting time

It is best to plant peonies around August to October, not too early or too late. However, the planting time varies slightly depending on the region where the flower lovers are located. The southern regions can be slightly delayed, but some extremely cold regions have to do it earlier, and they also need to keep warm after planting.

2. Planting Method

1. Preparation: Before planting peonies, you must choose a good planting site. The soil used is very important. It is best to use fertile and loose soil, which is very beneficial to its growth and germination.

2. Seed selection: If you want the peony to germinate better, you should try to choose new seeds. If you use old seeds, it will seriously affect the germination. Finally, select the shriveled seeds and use the plump seeds for planting.

3. Germination: After selecting the seeds, put them in warm water and soak them for 1-2 days, because the germination rate of the seeds will be higher after germination. Then mix the germinated seeds and wood ash evenly. If you cannot sow them immediately, you must prepare the sand storage.

4. Planting: The last step is to sow the processed seeds into the soil. The best planting depth is 3cm. Then press the soil firmly and water it thoroughly.
