Aunt Li grows "Green ivy" and loves to water it with this kind of "water". The pot is full in one month, which is better than flower fertilizer!

Green ivy is now a household green plant, and almost everyone has a few pots of it at home. The green ivy is easy to grow and grows very fast. It can fill the pot without much care and has a great purification effect. Huahua knows a flower lover named Aunt Li who has her own little method of caring for the green ivy. It only takes one month to grow the green ivy to the point where it fills the pot!

Because the green ivy grows very fast, it sometimes leads to a lack of nutrients. When the green ivy lacks nutrients, it will begin to turn yellow, dry and lifeless. At this time, the first thing flower lovers think of is to buy flower fertilizer to supplement nutrients. Aunt Li chose to use something that every household has to help it replenish nutrients and resume growth.

Drink some of this "water" and you will grow vigorously!

The water that Aunt Li said is more useful than fertilizer is the leftover rice water from washing rice at home. Rice washing water is what is left over when we wash rice. It contains a lot of nutrients, which can help the green radish supplement the nutrients needed during the growth period. In addition, the rice washing water can generate nitrogen after fermentation, which happens to be the element that green radish needs most during its growth period.

Methods of caring for green radish with rice water:

Many people pour rice water directly into flower pots, but this is actually incorrect. Because rice water itself contains too high nutrients, direct use will cause burns to the flower roots. We need to dilute and ferment it before we can use it.

We first pour the rice water into a sealed container, then add water to it until it is 80% full and place it in a cool place for fermentation. After half a month, the rice water will be fermented. However, when we use it again, we still need to add water to dilute it in a ratio of 1:50. The diluted rice water can be used as a thin fertilizer water to water the green radish every half a month. Within half a month, you can see that the green radish is growing much more vigorously.

Other maintenance methods:

When growing green radish, remember to provide it with additional light. It cannot accept too strong light and nutrients. When caring for it, we need to give it sufficient scattered light to ensure that it has enough nutrients needed for growth.

Chlorophytum is a water-loving plant, so we should pay attention to the amount and frequency of watering when caring for it. Generally speaking, it is watered once every 3 days. In winter, the frequency of watering can be reduced to once every 5 days to avoid root rot and water accumulation.

Use rice washing water to grow green ivy, it will not waste and will have good effects. Have you ever used this little method? If you have a better way to care for green radish, please share it with Huahua!
