How to grow Paphiopedilum

How to grow Paphiopedilum

1. Astigmatism environment

It is a plant that does not like strong light and grows best in a diffuse light environment. In spring and autumn, half of the light can be shaded, which can ensure growth while avoiding strong light exposure. The intensity of sunlight decreases in winter, so you can expose your plants to more light, which only requires blocking a small amount of light.

2. Moisture Application

As long as the soil in the pot is always moist, growth can be guaranteed. Watering is recommended throughout the year, but not too much water can cause water accumulation and root rot. It can be applied multiple times, but the amount each time should not be too much. However, although the potting soil needs more water, the humidity in the air cannot be too high.

3. Nutrient application

The plants are more sensitive to the application of fertilizers because they cannot tolerate high salinity, so the amount must be controlled and not too much, otherwise fertilizer damage will occur. When the plant is growing vigorously, you can add some fertilizer because of the rapid growth of the plant, but apply less at other times.

4. Temperature control

The best growth temperature is 12-25℃. It cannot withstand high temperature weather. Although it can survive above 30℃, its growth will stagnate and grow slowly.
