When is the best season to plant sugar apple?

The origin of sugar-apple is in the tropical regions of America. The improved sugar-apple varieties can be grown in most parts of my country, such as Guangzhou, Zhejiang, Taiwan, Fujian and other places. The planting time is from February to April in spring. In the warm winter areas in the south, it can be planted from October to December. In the suburbs of Beijing, it is planted in late April in spring.

The flowering period of sugar apple is from May to June. It matures and goes on the market from early June in summer to early November in winter. The price is 20-40 yuan per catty, and the yield per mu is generally around 1,500 catties.

Custard Apple Planting Steps and Methods

1. Choose seeds and soil: Choose healthy and disease-free varieties for planting, and choose a warm and humid, sunny, deep, fertile and well-drained planting site. The annual average temperature should be above 22 degrees;

2. Land preparation: Before sowing, the soil needs to be deeply plowed and exposed to the sun for 1-2 months. After the sun is exposed, base fertilizer is applied to the soil, and then the field ridges are dug;

3. Sowing: The sowing amount is 7-8 kg per mu. It can be sown in rows or broadcast. After sowing, cover it with fine sand or fine soil, compact the soil slightly, and then water it thoroughly.
