Black grass cultivation methods and precautions

Black grass cultivation methods and precautions

1. Soil

When breeding, the soil should be loose, breathable and nutrient-rich. You can use leaf mold, garden soil, river sand and then mix it with an appropriate amount of cake fertilizer. This way, the nutrients are sufficient and can meet its various growth needs, which is very suitable for growing black grass.

2. Watering

It likes a humid environment and needs to be watered frequently during maintenance. Usually water it once every three to five days in spring and every day in summer, and do not let the soil dry out. However, after the temperature drops in autumn, you should reduce the amount of watering to once a week. The plants stop growing in winter, so water should be controlled.

3. Lighting

Black seed grass needs sufficient light to grow, but be careful to avoid strong sunlight, so it needs to be shaded in the summer. In other seasons, it can receive light throughout the day, especially in winter, and you need to find ways to supplement it with light.

4. Fertilization

When caring for the plant, fertilize frequently during the growing season, about once a month, and nitrogen fertilizer will do. However, it should be stopped before flowering and replaced with cake fertilizer once every half a month. Just apply fertilizer once after the flowers fade, and stop applying fertilizer in winter.

5. Notes

It grows quickly, so it needs to be repotted and soiled once a year, preferably in early spring. In addition, the soil should be loosened once when the plants are just planted and start growing, and be careful not to damage the root system.
