How to grow Jianlan

How to grow Jianlan

1. Soil

Its root system is thick, so it is best to use well-drained, loose and fertile soil for maintenance. It can be mixed with coarse sand, peat soil and slag. This can meet the needs well and make it grow more vigorously.

2. Lighting

It likes light, but only diffuse light and cannot be exposed to strong light. It should be placed in a well-lit place at ordinary times. The flowers will bloom more beautifully with sufficient light. If there is insufficient light, it will be difficult for the plant to bloom, and even if it blooms, the quality will be poor.

3. Watering

During maintenance and management, the frequency of watering should be changed according to the climate. The plant should be kept moist but without water accumulation. In spring, you can water it once every three or four days and water it thoroughly. In summer, add more water and sprinkle water. The frequency of watering should be reduced when the temperature drops in autumn, and water should be controlled even more in winter.

4. Temperature

It has poor cold resistance, and temperatures between 20 and 28 degrees are more suitable for growth. The temperature in winter cannot be lower than 3 degrees, otherwise its growth will be suspended. When the temperature exceeds 32 degrees in summer, it is necessary to cool down and ventilate more.

5. Fertilization

During the growth period, apply thin fertilizer frequently to supplement nutrients. Normally, nitrogen fertilizer should be the main fertilizer, which can make the leaves grow better. Apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers before flowering to promote flowering and prolong the flowering period.
