How to Grow Lucky Bamboo

How to Grow Lucky Bamboo

1. Soil

When breeding, you need to use fertile and loose soil containing organic matter. You can mix humus and garden soil in half, or you can use peat soil, sandy soil, and leaf mold in a ratio of 6:1:3. This can meet the nutrients needed for growth.

2. Fertilization

Fertilize frequently during maintenance. Lucky bamboo likes fertilizer, but be careful to use low-concentration fertilizer. Usually, applying liquid fertilizer once every half a month in summer, spring and autumn can make the leaves greener and more vigorous. Growth is slow in winter, so fertilizer should be controlled.

3. Lighting

It likes light, but is afraid of strong light. Therefore, it should be placed in a room with bright light but not direct light, so that it can receive light well. If the plant is not exposed to sunlight for a long time, the leaves will turn yellow easily, which will not only affect its appearance but also hinder its growth.

4. Watering

It likes a humid environment, but the soil in the pot cannot accumulate water. Once water accumulates, the roots will be easily injured, affecting its growth. It is best to keep it in a semi-dry state at ordinary times. In summer, water evaporates quickly, so add more water; in winter, control water.

5. Temperature

It is best to provide an environment between 20 and 30 degrees during maintenance. It has poor cold resistance, and low temperatures in winter will freeze the plants and affect their growth. The temperature must be controlled in time and kept above 5 degrees so that you can safely spend the winter.
