How to plant the newly bought succulents

1. Check the roots

I don’t know how the roots of the succulents I just bought are developing, so I need to check them first. Many succulents sold by merchants have no roots underneath and will not survive. They need to be placed in ventilated conditions and dried for a few days, and they will grow roots on their own. If there are roots underneath, you can trim the roots, remove old roots, rotten roots and messy roots, and rinse them under clean water.

2. Prepare the soil

Choose suitable flower pots and loam. The material of the flower pots needs to be permeable, the loam needs to be breathable and drainable, contain nutrients, and be suitable for the growth of succulents. They must be disinfected before use to avoid the possibility of insect pests later. Dig a small hole in the loam, plant the plant in it, then level the soil around it and tamp it down lightly.

3. Post-maintenance

After planting, pay attention to the later maintenance methods, pay attention to sun protection, and avoid exposure to the sun. Don't rush to apply water and nutrients. Wait about 7 days before watering. Gradually water normally in the later stage. The lighting conditions also increase gradually.
