How to grow watermelon rind peperomia well

How to grow watermelon rind peperomia well

1. Soil ventilation

In order to make the watermelon peperomia grow better, you should use loose and breathable soil. If you use clay soil, it will not grow well. In addition, the soil must have good drainage, otherwise once water accumulates, the roots will easily rot. For home potted plants, you can use leaf mold and coarse sand.

2. Suitable temperature

You should try to create a growing environment of 20-30℃ for it. It is not only afraid of cold, but also very afraid of heat. The maximum temperature should not be higher than 30℃ nor lower than 10℃, otherwise its growth rate will slow down. The temperature in winter must be kept above 15℃, only in this way will it not be frozen.

3. Keep the soil moist

During its vigorous growth period, the soil in the pot must be kept slightly moist. There should not be water accumulation in the pot, which will cause root and leaf rot. When cultivating, if you find that the soil has become dry, you must water it immediately to ensure that the plants grow better when there is sufficient water but no water accumulation.

4. Appropriate exposure to light

It has a strong ability to tolerate shade, so it needs to receive an appropriate amount of diffuse light, preferably in a well-ventilated place where it can see sunlight. Note that it cannot be exposed to the scorching sun and must receive sunlight throughout the day in winter. When the sun is strong in the summer, block 50% of the sunlight, otherwise the leaves will be sunburned.
