Can boxwood survive if its leaves dry up?

Can boxwood survive if its leaves dry up?

1. Can you survive?

Whether the boxwood can survive after its leaves dry up depends on the specific situation and is not absolute. If all the leaves of the plant have dried up, the branches have also dried up and have no vitality, and the roots have turned black and rotted, this means that the plant is dead and there is basically no possibility of saving it. If the leaves just start to show such signs and it is only in a small area, and the branches are also healthy, then as long as timely measures are taken to suppress the speed of drying up, the plant can still be saved and regain vitality.

2. Rescue measures

1. Cut off dead leaves: First cut off the dry leaves and branches of boxwood. Do not leave them on to consume nutrients. Trim them cleanly from the base.

2. Cut off rotten roots: Root rot may be caused by too much watering. You can take the plant out of the pot and check the position of the roots. If rot is found, remove it with scissors, then clean and disinfect it, replant it, and do a good job of post-maintenance.

3. Treat diseases: It may also be infected with wilt disease, which will cause the leaves to lose water and dry up. In severe cases, it may lead to the death of the plant. Pull out the diseased plants and destroy them, then disinfect them by watering with 100% diluted Benomyl.
