Cultivation methods and precautions of Tiger Pilan

Cultivation methods and precautions of Tiger Pilan

1. Soil

The most important thing about the soil for growing Sansevieria is that it should have good drainage capabilities. In addition, it would be better if the soil is loose and fertile. Therefore, we can mix peat soil, leaf mold, sandy soil and perlite in the ratio of 4:3:2:2 to grow it, or we can prepare its soil according to the method of garden soil: leaf mold: sandy soil = 5:2:3.

2. Water

Sansevieria is the type that is afraid of waterlogging but not drought, so when watering, we would rather water less than more, and rather keep it dry than wet. Except for the spring when it grows new leaves, the soil in the pot needs to be kept moist, it is better to keep the soil dry in other seasons.

3. Lighting

Although Sansevieria is somewhat shade-tolerant, it grows better in full sunlight. Normally it is best to place it under the sun to receive direct sunlight, and there is no need to worry about it getting sunburned.

4. Temperature

Tiger Piran prefers to grow under 20-30℃ conditions. When the temperature drops at the end of the year, move it indoors and set the temperature to above 5℃. In summer, measures should be taken to cool down and keep the temperature below 30℃.

5. Notes

1. Don’t expose yourself to light suddenly. Generally speaking, we will place the snake plant in places where there is not enough light, such as office desks and living rooms. After a long period of growth, it gradually adapts to this environment. If it is suddenly exposed to strong light, it will have adverse reactions.

2. Change the pot in time. The growth rate of Sansevieria is relatively fast. When you find that it has grown to the full size of a pot, you should promptly replace it with a larger new pot to ensure that it has enough space to grow.
