How to grow Cineraria

How to grow Cineraria

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: It likes fertile sandy soil with good drainage, and it should be alkaline. It is best to test it with pH paper, which should be between 6.5-7.5. It can be prepared by mixing wood ash, fine sand, loess and leaf mold. When potting, add a small amount of fertilizer at the bottom as base fertilizer to ensure sufficient nutrients.

2. Temperature: It is best to provide a cool environment during maintenance, with the temperature between 15 and 20 degrees. If the temperature exceeds 25 degrees for a long time, the leaves will curl, affecting flowering and growth. In addition, its cold resistance is also low, and the temperature cannot be lower than 5 degrees in winter, otherwise it will stop growing.

3. Watering: Water once every three days during the peak growth period to keep the soil moist. Also pay attention to spraying more water to increase the humidity, so that the flowers will bloom more brightly later.

2. Common pests and diseases

During the maintenance period, it is easy to be attacked by pests and diseases, such as red spider mites, poisonous moths, aphids, as well as wilt and powdery mildew. When discovered, be sure to spray the appropriate medicine for prevention and control in time, otherwise it will seriously affect the growth of the plants. In addition, during the later management, it is necessary to ventilate frequently and provide it with a cool environment.
