Cultivation method of horse silver flower

Cultivation method of horse silver flower

1. Soil

When growing horse silver flower, you must first choose soil with good looseness and air permeability. If these two standards are not met, there is no need to consider other things. Be careful not to use clay soil, otherwise it will lead to poor plant development.

2. Watering

The horse honeysuckle likes to grow in a cool and humid environment. It needs to be watered more frequently during maintenance, especially in the north where the environment is dry. In addition to watering, it is also necessary to sprinkle water more often to maintain humidity. The water for watering can be rainwater or alum fertilizer water. If it is tap water, add an appropriate amount of vinegar to ensure the acidity of the soil.

3. Fertilization

When applying fertilizer, apply it in thin layers and frequently. Do not apply excessive or concentrated fertilizer. Apply phosphorus fertilizer once a month before the flowers bloom in spring to promote flowering. After the flowering period, apply nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers twice to supplement nutrients. Fertilize frequently during the growing season, and control fertilizer usage in summer and winter when the environment is not suitable.

4. Lighting

It is shade-tolerant and light-loving. When caring for it, it is best to give it half-day light treatment, four or five hours of light a day, but be careful to avoid strong light around noon, otherwise it will get sunburned.

5. Temperature

The suitable temperature for its growth is between 15 and 20 degrees, neither too high nor too low. Therefore, cooling and insulation measures should be taken in summer and winter to avoid affecting growth.
