How to grow variegated reed

1. Breeding environment

1. Potting soil: When caring for the plant, choose a flowerpot with a diameter of 50 to 60 cm. If it is slightly larger, its roots will take up a lot of space in the later stage. The soil can be nutrient soil with humus.

2. Watering: It has a great demand for water, so you need to water it frequently. It is best to keep the soil in the pot slightly moist with shallow water. Water it thoroughly each time, and replenish water in time when you find that there is less water.

3. Light: During maintenance, it should be placed in a well-lit place. It can even accept strong sunlight in summer, but the time should not be too long, otherwise the leaves may be sunburned.

4. Fertilization: It does not require much fertilizer to grow. It only needs to be applied once in spring and autumn, and it will grow very healthily. It is best not to apply fertilizer in summer and winter, just pay attention to water and light.

2. Breeding Methods

1. Sowing: Sowing should be carried out in early spring, just sprinkle the seeds in the soil. After it germinates and grows stably, move it into a pot for maintenance.

2. Cuttings: Cuttings are carried out from late summer to early autumn. Insert the cut plants in water and they will take root in about 20 days. Don't rush to plant after rooting, wait until the spring of the following year to transplant.

3. Division: Division is the process of reproduction using the rhizomes underneath. After washing, cut into pieces and plant them in soil with shallow water.
