Are orchids suitable for indoor cultivation? (Cultivation methods and precautions)

1. Soil

It is recommended to use a nutritious, breathable mixture of leaf mold and mud for the loam in the flowerpot. Before planting, you can mix compound fertilizer into the soil to ensure that the loam has enough nutrients.

2. Lighting

It likes a growing environment with plenty of sunlight, but high temperatures may affect its normal development, so it is still necessary to provide shade in the summer.

3. Temperature

The temperature it prefers for growth is 18℃-28℃. When the temperature is higher than 30℃ or below 5℃, it is not conducive to its growth. Therefore, when caring for it, you can first treat it with low temperature to allow it to slowly adapt to the low temperature environment, and then control it to a suitable growth temperature.

4. Watering

In the summer when the environment is dry, you can water more frequently. Frequent spraying of water on the leaves can increase the air humidity. In the winter when the weather is hot, you should reduce watering.

5. Fertilization

You can fertilize it 1-2 times a month. If it is a plant that has been cultivated for many years, you need to fertilize it once every 1-2 weeks.

6. Place it indoors

Orchids can be placed indoors, but they need to be moved to the balcony after they bloom.

VII. Precautions

Regularly spraying orchids with water, especially those grown indoors, can help prevent the tips from drying out.
