What fertilizer is good for growing ginger?

Ginger must be fertilized frequently, and the amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers used should be reasonable. When fertilizing, apply light fertilizer for seedling growth, which can promote the growth of stems and leaves and increase photosynthesis, apply heavy fertilizer for branching, which can make the plant branch and grow, and apply fertilizer for enlargement cleverly to make the ginger pieces swell.

Ginger fertilizer

Ginger prefers different fertilizers at different growth stages. The base fertilizer should be decomposed organic fertilizer, and the later topdressing should be high-nitrogen and high-potassium compound fertilizer, used in combination with organic fertilizer. After normal fertilization, you can water the plants appropriately. Watering can prevent the fertilizer concentration from being too high and burning the plants, and it can also allow the plants to better absorb nutrients, thereby improving the utilization rate of fertilizers. Because ginger has shallow roots, the soil must be fertile, but concentrated fertilizers cannot be used.

Ginger fertilization method

1. When fertilizing ginger, you can dig a trench on the side of the ginger seedling, 15 cm away from the base of the plant, sprinkle the fertilizer into the trench, and then mix it evenly with the soil. Finally, cover the trench with soil to seal it, and then water it thoroughly after cultivating the soil.

2. When the ginger seedlings grow to about 30 cm and have 1-2 branches, you can apply the first topdressing fertilizer. Apply 20 kg of urea per mu. When applying, you can dig a trench 15 cm from the base of the plant, cover the soil and water.
