Why the leaves of potted lotus are drying up and how to deal with it

Why the leaves of potted lotus are drying up and how to deal with it

1. Too much fertilizer

Reason: Although the lotus needs certain nutrients to grow, if too much fertilizer is applied, the lotus will not be able to absorb it normally, which will cause the lotus roots underneath to burn, affecting the absorption and transportation functions, causing growth problems, and causing the lotus leaves to dry up.

Solution: You can observe the roots. If the roots are black and short, they may be burned. You need to control fertilization and replace the substrate if necessary.

2. Low temperature

Reason: Lotus cannot withstand cold climates. If the temperature in the growing environment is low, the lotus leaves will dry up and the lotus may even be frozen.

Solution: When the temperature in winter rises above 0 degrees Celsius, take measures to keep warm.

3. Lack of sunlight

Reason: Lotus is a flower that likes sunlight. If it is kept in a place with poor light for a long time, its leaves will dry up.

Solution: Place it in a well-lit area and keep it in sunlight for at least 4 hours a day.

4. Turbid water

Reason: If the water is too turbid during the growth of potted lotus, it will affect its growth and cause the leaves to dry up.

Solution: Potted lotus needs to have its water changed in time to ensure the water quality is clean.
