How and when to plant leeks

Allium is also called leek orchid. If you want to grow this plant well, you need to manage the light temperature, water, fertilizer, soil, etc. It is best to place it in a place with sufficient sunlight and provide it with a growth temperature of 16-28℃.

Leek planting conditions

The leek plant likes a warm, well-lit growing environment. The suitable temperature for growth is 16-28℃. You can usually place it in a location with sufficient light, which will make the plant grow better.

Leek planting time

Chinese chives have high requirements for environmental temperature and have relatively poor cold resistance. The best time to plant them is around March and April in spring, when the temperature stabilizes at around 20°C. This makes management easier after planting and helps increase yields.

High-yield planting method of leek

1. Soil

The soil for planting leek is very important. It is recommended to choose fertile and loose soil for planting. If the hole sowing method is adopted, 4-5 bulbs can be placed in each hole, and the hole distance should be controlled at about 15 cm. In addition, water it frequently to keep the soil moist.

2. Fertilization

Planting leeks also requires regular fertilization. You can choose to use compost, and the fertilizer should be mainly organic fertilizer or potassium fertilizer. Use it about once every 2-3 months. This will make the flowers bloom better and the bulbs grow bigger.
