How to plant succulents

When planting succulents, it is necessary to control the sunshine time to about 6-8 hours. If you have time at noon, you can move the succulents into a cool indoor room and maintain them in a semi-shaded environment. If you don’t have time to take care of them at noon, you can build a succulent shade net to provide shade.

Succulents like warmth, and the temperature should generally be controlled at 18-22 degrees. If the temperature exceeds 30 degrees in summer, it will generally grow slowly or stop growing. The temperature in winter should not be lower than 10 degrees, otherwise it will grow slowly. If it is lower than 5 degrees, it is easy to get frostbite.

Succulent planting steps

Planting succulents is relatively simple. First, trim the dead and rotten roots, cut the roots shorter, and place them in a cool place. After the wounds heal, plant them in pots. The soil can be selected with strong air permeability and good drainage.

Succulent planting method

Succulents are generally planted in potted plants. It is recommended to choose a purple clay pot with good ventilation. You can also use a ceramic pot, which has very good water and air permeability. When planting, you can use beheading, pinching, and pruning.

When beheading, be sure to use a sharp, sterilized knife. Generally, prune 10 to 20 cm away from the bottom layer, retaining the bottom 1-2 layers of leaves. The top layer does not need to be thrown away, and you can then plant.
