What to do if the garlic sprouts turn yellow

What to do if the garlic sprouts turn yellow

1. Normal phenomenon

Garlic sprouts are the small seedlings that develop after planting garlic. They will turn yellow during the growth process, but don't worry too much, it is a normal phenomenon. As long as normal maintenance and management is carried out in the later stage, the yellowing will be restored and disappear.

2. Insufficient nutrients

During its growth and development period, it will turn yellow if it lacks nutrients, such as potassium, nitrogen, magnesium and other elements. At this time, it is necessary to replenish fertilizers containing these elements in time, about once every 12 days, and it should be noted that they should be diluted before application.

3. Water and soil incompatibility

If there is a lack of water or too much water during the breeding period, the soil will be too moist and the seedlings will turn yellow. Watering is usually done every three days or so, and the soil must not be allowed to become compacted. If you water too much, deep plowing and loosening the soil as soon as possible to allow the water to evaporate as quickly as possible.

4. Improper light temperature

Garlic sprouts prefer light, so they must be given enough light during their growth period and be exposed to the sun every day. In addition, pay attention to the temperature. It cannot be a high temperature environment and should not exceed 25 degrees. It is most appropriate to maintain the temperature at around 18 degrees, otherwise yellowing will easily occur.
