Cultivation methods and precautions of Medal Chrysanthemum

Cultivation methods and precautions of Medal Chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemum is relatively easy to grow. It likes to grow in an environment with good ventilation. If it is kept in a humid room with poor ventilation for a long time, it is very easy to breed bacteria and be infected by diseases and pests, thus affecting the normal growth of the plant.

How to grow chrysanthemum

1. Soil

The soil for maintaining the medal chrysanthemum must be air-permeable. It is recommended to mix normal soil with peat. If the area is relatively humid, the proportion of peat should be increased.

2. Sunlight

The medal chrysanthemum has a relatively high demand for light and is suitable for growing in places with sufficient light, but it also needs to avoid direct sunlight in the summer. It can accept full sunlight in the winter.

3. Watering

Watering should be carried out according to the principle of watering when the soil is dry and watering when it is wet. In the cold winter, the frequency of watering should be reduced, and in the hot summer, the frequency of watering should be appropriately increased.

4. Fertilization

During the period of vigorous growth of the chrysanthemum, it is necessary to ensure sufficient fertilizer so that it can grow quickly and bloom continuously. When applying top dressing, you only need to use diluted phosphorus and potassium fertilizers.

Matters Needing Attention in the Maintenance of Chrysanthemum

When caring for chrysanthemums in winter, you need to be careful. Chrysanthemums have a strong ability to tolerate heat. Once the temperature of the growing environment drops to zero degrees or even below zero, the chrysanthemums must be placed in a warm environment for the winter, otherwise they will be frozen to death.
