What vegetables are suitable for planting after the beginning of autumn?

After the beginning of autumn, the weather gradually becomes cooler, and the survival rate of vegetable planting is higher, because the temperature at this time is suitable for plant growth, and the sunlight is not very strong, the soil is relatively moist, and the plants will grow quickly.

There are many vegetables that can be planted after the beginning of autumn, such as buckwheat, onions, spinach, radish, rapeseed, garlic sprouts, coriander, cabbage, green beans, red moss, etc.

1. Cabbage

Cabbage is mainly sown in autumn and can be divided into early-maturing, mid-maturing and late-maturing varieties according to their ability to resist heat and cold. The further north you go, the earlier the sowing can be done. This kind of cool-loving and frost-resistant cabbage, after being baptized by wind and frost, is not only resistant to storage, but also tastes fresh, tender and sweet.

2. White radish

White radish is sown at the beginning of autumn and can be harvested around the beginning of winter. Radishes planted at this time have fewer diseases and pests, so the quality is good and the yield is high. However, you must pay attention to watering in time to prevent autumn drought, especially during the formation period of the radish's fleshy roots. Lack of water will affect its growth and the spiciness will increase.

3. Coriander

Generally, the planting time of coriander is after mid-August. It can be planted not only in the ground but also in pots. Coriander does not have many diseases and pests and is easier to manage. The growth cycle is generally about one and a half months.

4. Spinach

Spinach prefers cool or warm climates and is relatively cold-resistant. In the areas south of the Yangtze River, or in the northern subtropical areas near the Yangtze River, it is considered complete when planting autumn spinach when planting wheat, because the local winters are not very cold and spinach in the open field can safely survive the winter.

5. Garlic sprouts

In the north, garlic is usually sown in late September to October and harvested the following year. When sowing garlic at the beginning of autumn, you must pay attention to weather changes. On rainy days or when the local temperature is too high, the garlic seeds will easily rot after sowing, which is not conducive to germination.
