Cultivation method and pruning method of Milan flowers

1. Suitable soil

Milan flowers need to grow in suitable soil, using loose, well-drained, breathable, slightly acidic sandy loam. Never use compacted soil with heavy salinity and alkali. After growing it for about one or two years, you need to change the potting soil.

2. Sufficient light

When growing Milan, it is necessary to ensure sufficient light. During the growing period, it must be exposed to 8-12 hours of sunlight every day. Only with sufficient light can it grow healthily, have dark green leaves, and bloom profusely. It can be grown on a balcony or sunny windowsill. Although it cannot grow in a shady environment, the light in the summer is strong and direct strong light must be blocked.

3. Temperature requirements

It likes warmth, and the suitable temperature range is between 20℃-35℃. When the temperature is above 30℃, more flowers will bloom and the fragrance will be rich. It doesn't like cold climates, so you need to keep it warm in winter. When the temperature drops, move it to a warm room in time.

4. Water in time

The soil in the pot should be kept moist during the growing period, so watering should be timely and the soil in the pot should not be in a dry state. When the temperature drops in winter, the evaporation rate of water slows down and the growth rate is slower, so watering should be controlled.

5. Reasonable topdressing

Ensure sufficient fertilizer during growth, apply fertilizer reasonably according to the principle of applying small amounts of fertilizer frequently.

6. Pruning branches

Milan flowers should be pruned and shaped from seedlings, and should also be pruned during their growth, with dead and diseased branches removed in time.
