Where does durian grow?

The durian fruit is the size of a football. Its peel is firm and densely covered with triangular thorns. The flesh is composed of a fleshy package called an aril. The flesh is light yellow in color, sticky and juicy. It is a fruit with great economic value.

Durian grows on trees. It is a tropical evergreen tree that can reach a height of 25 meters. When the fruit is ripe, the smell is unique and strong. People who like to eat it find it fragrant, while people who don’t like it find it smelly. The fruiting period is generally from August to December.

Where Durian Grows

Durian grows in high temperature places and has high requirements for heat conditions. The average daily temperature in the planting area must be above 22°C, and there should be basically no frost all year round. The best temperature for durian growth is generally around 25-30°C, and the minimum temperature should not be lower than 10°C.

Durian Origin

Durian is produced in Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Madagascar, northern Australia and Singapore, while my country's durian production is concentrated in the Lingnan region, such as Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Taiwan and Yunnan.
