Cultivation methods and precautions of hydroponic Monstera

Hydroponic Monstera is relatively easy to grow, and the best time to grow it is spring or autumn, because the temperature and climate in these two seasons are conducive to the growth of Monstera, and the ornamental value of Monstera is relatively high.

How to grow Monstera deliciosa hydroponically

1. Container

Choose a suitable and beautiful glass container so that you can observe the root growth. Because the stems and leaves of Monstera will grow very large in the later stage, you can use tap water at ordinary times.

2. Plant selection

When growing Monstera in water, you should choose a healthy plant, peel off the roots of the Monstera from the soil, put it in a pot and clean it, exposing the white roots, properly trim off the rotten and old roots, and clean some of the fibrous roots.

3. Bottle

Pour an appropriate amount of clean water that has been left to air dry into the container, and check the roots regularly. Because the leaves of Monstera are large and the evaporation rate is large, clean water needs to be added once a week.

4. Spray water on leaves

Monstera is suitable for growing in a humid environment. You can spray some water mist around it to keep it moist. You can add some foliar fertilizer every week to help keep the leaves of the Monstera green and accelerate its growth and formation.

Precautions for the maintenance of hydroponic Monstera

When cultivating Monstera in water, you need to pay attention that Monstera is suitable for growing in places with scattered light indoors. When there is a lack of light in winter, artificial light can be supplemented, and the room temperature should not be lower than 10 degrees. You should also change the water regularly to keep the water clean.
